My Metaphysics – Know Thy Self

A crisis in consciousness
Jiddu Krishnamurti

Metaphysics begins and ends with GOD’s Conscience. Conscience allows you to witness the universe. As of now, we are the only species that can claim this truth. Metaphysics provides the compass to transcend from Ego conscience to Soul conscience to GOD’s Conscience. Anything less is a victory for ego and the futile pursuit of Goodness, Beauty and Truth.

The metaphysician seeks the substance and essence of all things and embraces ancient and modern reference-based texts of all knowledge domains. Equipped with knowledge, we can heed the words and spirit of Marcus Aurelius and consider all the stars in the universe and the relationship of one to another. In addition, the emperor postulated either all things come from a single rational source and combine in a coherent whole or there are only atoms, a formless disintegrating mass.

Metaphysics requires the inner fortitude and strength to endure Socrates’ operative, Know Thy Self. Carl Jung affirmed Socrates’ imperative to Know Oneself as an act of courage.

The metaphysical journey to Know Oneself begins with a desire and passion for knowledge. Guided by Goodness, Beauty, and Truth, the metaphysician sets up base camps on the long and lifetime journey to reach the zenith. The climb from base camp to base camp gives a measure of transcendence. The metaphysician transcends from Ego conscience to Soul conscience to GOD’s Conscience. The state of GOD’s Conscience universally expressed as ONE is to Know Thy Self.
